LAVENDER WHISPERS
Juliet has been stuck for 40 years waiting for any indication of
why her lover left her. She finds a lost love letter after some
investigation brings her the answer. She then has to decide
whether to keep being stuck or break out of her repetitive life.
“Lavender Whispers” was part of the incredible “Perfect Strangers” project, created to celebrate 100 years of the Stranger’s Hall Museum. From the outset, we aimed to capture the museum’s mesmerizing features and stay true to the beautiful imagery Laila included in the script. Juliet’s story of regret is something I believe many people can relate to. It’s easy to romanticize the past and struggle to move beyond our grief. As soon as I read the script, I knew I wanted the audience to feel the weight of what Juliet is letting go of.
